Stuart McCall has warned that Bradford City cannot afford any more performances like the bitterly disappointing display at Coventry in their campaign for Premiership survival.

The inspirational skipper was visibly upset after a game in which City not only lost 4-0 but dismally failed to produce the form needed for the battle against relegation.

"We haven't had many performances like that this season and we can't afford any more," he says.

"I am sure there won't be any more performances like that between now and the end of the season.

"I want to apologise to the fans. They didn't deserve that. You can get away with two or three players not being at the races, but not from one to 11.

"Collectively we were poor and individually we were poor. There wasn't anything tactical about it.

"We are fighting for our lives. Unfortunately we didn't show that at Coventry.

"It's no good feeling sorry for ourselves."

Meanwhile, Birmingham have secured the services of Bantams striker Isaiah Ran-kin on a third month's loan.

The 21-year-old scored twice in Saturday's 3-1 win over First Division promotion rivals Barnsley.

Rankin said: "My loan period will run out with four games and the play-offs remaining. I hope to do what I can to fire the Blues towards the Premiership."
