Assistant manager Chris Hutchings is hoping that the triumph over Arsenal will act as an inspiration for Bradford City in their sternest home test of the season against Manchester United tomorrow.
The 2-1 win against the Gunners six week ago shook the Premiership and Hutchings is hoping that the visit of the European champions will also bring the best out of the players.
He said: "The Arsenal win proves we can do it and, having done it against them, there is no reason why we cannot do it against Manchester United.
"There is no bigger game than this one to bounce back from our 4-0 defeat at Coventry in. The players know they didn't perform well last week either as a team or individually and we have got to rectify that against Manchester United. The players have got a point to prove.
"Manchester United are an excellent team and we need everyone of our lads to play well and hope that one or two of their players have an off day.
"Let's hope we can spoil their party, but we know it is going to be difficult because they have strength in depth all over the field.
"We have got to get among them, put them under pressure, be solid as a unit and, although chances are few and far between against the top sides, we must make sure we take them.
"We have got to be positive. If we stand off them they will punish us. We need all our players to play to their maximum to get a good result. That is what we have been working on this week and hopefully it will come good tomorrow.
"I don't think United will suffer any reaction from their 0-0 draw against Valencia in the European Champions League match in midweek. They are looking to win the championship again and they will be after all three points."
Manager Paul Jewell seems set to choose from an unchanged squad although goalkeeper Matt Clarke who has been out of action for eight weeks with a medial knee ligament injury is on the mend.
Hutchings said: "We haven't put him in and we haven't ruled him out. He trained yesterday and we will see if there is any reaction. He is doing a little bit more work each day, but we have got to be careful."
Ryan Giggs is expected to return for Manchester United along with David Beckham, Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole who all missed the game in Spain.
Sir Alex Ferguson left Giggs behind as a precaution because he did not want to risk a recurrence of his calf injury.
"If we had needed to win on Tuesday to qualify I would probably have taken Giggs," said the United manager.
"But when I saw how soft Valencia's pitch was I was glad I didn't but he should be available tomorrow."
