Rugby Union: Yarnbury maintained their Indian sign over Otley last night to reach the second round of the Sulzer Roteq Services (UK) Aire-Wharfe Cup.
The holders won a repeat of last season's final, again at Brownberrie Lane, to go through to the last eight.
No 8 Steve Miller got Yarnbury's only try, Steve Galbraith adding a penalty and Steve Riley two long-range penalties. Otley's only reply was a Dominic Kershaw penalty.
Bradford Salem won 16-11 at Keighley, but lost Simon Fox with a broken arm. The scrum half was detained overnight in Airedale Hospital.
Damien Cope and Mark Ramsbottom got Salem's tries, Joe Simpson adding two penalties.
Keighley replied with a Peter Southgate try and two Danny McGee penalties.
Bradford and Bingley were too often drawn into taking on Aireborough's larger pack, but won 25-10 at Nunroyd Park.
Fly half Steve Brimacombe, winger Dewi Allen and scrum half John Bowen got tries for the Bees, full back Matthew Booth adding two penalties and two conversions.
Aireborough's points came from tries by Paul Nightingale and John Rhodes.
Baildon coach Kenny Pollard was forced into action on the wing, his side going down 39-17 at Bramley Phoenix Park, for whom winger Andy England got two tries. Chris Smithies bagged a cracker for Baildon.
