It will be a case of life imitating art when a soap-star heartthrob walks down the aisle with a Bradford computer expert later this year.
Actor Glenn Lamont, 26, who plays computer whizzkid Richie Carter in Emmerdale, is set to marry Cheryl Hackett, 24 - a real-life computer expert.
Hunky Glenn has been turning up the temperature on the soap with his affair with farmer's wife Sarah Sugden.
But Cheryl, a product manager for a computer suppliers in Bradford, is happy with her fiancee's unfaithfulness on screen because he switches off at the end of the scenes.
And despite the attention Glenn receives from his role having an affair with married Sarah, Cheryl says she is not affected by the fame. "Most people don't bother us," she said. "But you do get the odd person coming up to him telling him to leave Sarah alone."
Cheryl met the Glenn six years ago at a Leeds nightclub after she had moved to the city to go to university. Cheryl will marry at a civil ceremony in Harrogate in August.
Glenn said there would be a few famous faces joining their families at the ceremony.
Glenn, said: "We are really looking forward to it. There is a lot to do and we're both very busy but it will be worth it in the end."
He is happy playing Richie but he ultimately wants to move on to other acting jobs.
Meanwhile, he is tight-lipped on what the scriptwriters have in line for his character. He did admit that his dangerous liaison with Sarah Sugden is still going, although it might not be for long.
