City of Bradford's Steven Broadley and Emma Collings won three senior county titles in backstroke and freestyle at the last Yorkshire Long Course Meet at Leeds for this year.
In a meet which saw most of Bradford's swimmers improve on their entry rankings with good personal best times, the first gold went to 17-year-old Collings from Skipton, winning her first senior county title in the women's 800m freestyle.
She set a solid pace which the rest of the field could not stay with and came home with a clear winning margin of eight seconds in a time of 9min 18.85sec, with training partners Diana Steele (6th) and Katie Hall (8th).
Broadley went to the meet as defending champion in the men's 200m backstroke, but first had to compete in the 400m freestyle, finishing second to Robin Francis (York).
Next came the 100m backstroke with top seed Paul Callis (Hull) setting a fast pace in the final. Broadley trailed Callis for the first 70 metres then pulled level to pass him in the last five metres to win in a personal best 1min 1.90sec.
Broadley then won the 200m backstroke by over nine seconds in a best of 2min 13.45sec. This brought his tally of senior county titles for the year to four, adding to the 1,500m freestyle and 200m butterfly won earlier.
Katie Ford, 12, had her best finishing place with a silver in the 100m backstroke in a best of 1min 16.55sec. She is now within 0.6sec of national time for the event.
The Senszyczyn sisters of Ilkley landed medals with Carey, ten, adding silver in the 50m backstroke in a personal best 40.71sec to her bronzes in the freestyle and breaststroke.
Sister Jemma, 14, made her first top eight finish with sixth place in the 400m individual medley and then went on to secure her first county medal with third in the 100m breaststroke in 1min 25.06sec.
Bradford's last medal went to Mark Gilhooly with a national qualifying time of 4min 24.07sec in the 15 years 400m freestyle. He also finished seventh in the men's 400m freestyle.
Other swimmers with top eight placings in the 400m freestyle were James Halliday (4th), Jamie Harrison (8th) and Gavin Moon (6th). Moon was also eighth in the men's event. Fifth in the 400m individual medley and sixth in the 200m individual medley.
Iain Gordon, 15, was fourth in his age group 400m individual medley and eighth in the men's 200m backstroke.
