Granby Phoenix 3 Three Horses 2 - LEAGUE secretary Allan Feather thinks he can win the lottery after watching Granby snatch an incredible victory.

Five minutes before kick off they had only six players and their manager was about to concede the match when more of his players arrived, after realising the clocks had gone forward an hour.

Phoenix took control from the start and their speedy wingers put the defence under pressure. Their efforts were rewarded with a goal after 10 minutes and they soon increased their lead.

Three Horses pulled one back shortly before the break when the Phoenix keeper made his only mistake of the match, but Phoenix should have had the game sewn up by the break. In the second period Three Horses came more into the game and play swung from end to end, their efforts were rewarded when they levelled the scores and went on to take the lead.

Both teams had further chances to score, but could not produce the final touch, but the drama was not over. With the minutes ticking away Phoenix conceded a penalty and their keeper redeemed himself for his earlier mistake with a great save.

Great credit goes to both teams for an excellent game of football and to referee G Butterfield. Phoenix scorers were Jonal Ali, who marked his comeback with two goals, and Kabir Hussain.
