A male voice choir, formed when the motor car was in its infancy, has entered the new millennium in the high-tech world of the internet.
Steeton Male Voice Choir, which was founded in 1907, has set up its own website to spread its voice worldwide.
Secretary, Len Wilson, said: "It's only in its infancy at the moment. We have yet to build up the information on it. But we're hoping it will get us much more publicity."
The choir, which has about 90 members, has already made four CDs, a record and is about to cut another CD in May, performing in St Margaret's Church, Ilkley.
"We are in great demand for concerts and last year we held 34. It was a big commitment, so this year we're trying to cut down a bit - after all we're all amateurs," he said.
This millennium year they are performing in two mass choirs - 2,000 male voices in each - as well as several others for local organisations. Anyone wanting to access the Steeton Male Voice Choir website can do so on www.malevoicechoirs.com.
