Bradford are hoping to host a national championships again next year after a successful weekend at Nab Wood Sports Centre.
More than 60 players from across the country took part in the national disabled table tennis championships over two days.
They included Bradford's Oye Jemiyo and Cleckheaton's David Hope, who has already been selected for the Sydney Paralympics later this year - his fifth Games.
The British Table Tennis Association for People with Disabilities were very impressed with the facilities at Nab Wood and have already indicated they would like to make a return visit.
And Coun Barry Thorne, the Council's executive member for leisure, said: "We'd love to welcome them back to Bradford next year."
Andrew Parkin, development officer with the Bradford Sports and Recreation Association for People with Disabilities, added: "The success of these championships demonstrates how different sections of the community can work together to produce such a quality and worthwhile event."
Hope, a medallist in the Games in Seoul in 1988, came away from the championships with three bronze medals - in pairs, his own class and as an individual.
The championships were open to all levels of the sport, from novices to up and coming players and those with more experience. Sponsorship help was provided by the HSBC Bank.
