THE first semi-final in the Wharfedale FA Airedale International Challenge Cup takes place tonight,Thursday when West Yorkshire League Premier Division side Horsforth St Margaret's take on West Riding County Amateur Division Two side Baildon Trinity Athletic at Otley Town's Pool Road ground (kick-off is 6.00pm).
Horsforth are having their best season for many years and will be favourites to go through to the final, but Baildon Trinity Athletic are having a great second-half to this season.
In this competition they have already beaten one of the favourites, Guiseley AFC Reserves, and another club having their best season for a long time from the same league as Baildon and a Division higher, high-flying Otley Town.
The officials tonight will be referee Paul Varley, of Burley-in-Wharfedale, and assistants Richard Holdsworth, also of Burley-in-Wharefedale, and Jon Moss, o f Horsforth.
The other semi-final takes place the following Thursday, April 13, between Ilkley AFC and Pool AFC, also on the ground of Otley Town (kick-off 6.00pm).
