Plans to expand a Bingley school as part of Bradford's education shake-up have been put on hold.
Councillors voted unanimously to defer the application for Beckfoot Grammar School application so a traffic plan and travel arrangements can be fully sorted out.
The plans for Beckfoot - set to expand from 1,050 to 1,620 pupils and from 85 to 120 staff - include a new sports hall and all weather pitch, new technology blocks and a library and the relocation of tennis courts and car parking.
Officers advised Bradford Council's Shipley area planning panel to refer the Green Belt site's plans to the Council's executive committee, along with a recommendation that they be approved and then passed to the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions.
Councillors raised concerns over the proposed facilities for school buses and how they would get to the school from the main road.
They also said it was vital that local residents - who raised objections to the original plans - were consulted about the amended plans for the school.
Meanwhile, plans to change the use of a row of 17th century Grade II-listed former stone cottages at Swan Hill, Frizinghall Road, from storage premises to four cottages were approved.
Councillors also approved plans for a takeaway at 103 Main Street, Wilsden, to be turned into a restaurant and the renewal of permission for The Manor at Sutton Drive, Cullingworth, to be used as a rest home for the elderly.
Plans to extend the opening hours of a takeaway at 219 Wrose Road, Wrose, Shipley, were deferred.
