Bradford Grammar and Bradford Girls Grammar Schools shared most of the honours at the Bradford Schools Swimming Champ-ionships.
Each school won five of the 16 team events and the Girls Grammar School set the only team record, 57.12 seconds in the girls freestyle race for 15 to 16-year-olds.
Keighley Oakbank School won three events, Whitcliffe Mount, two and Bingley Grammar School, one.
The Upper Schools trophy was won by Whitcliffe Mount with 158 points while Oakbank were second with 151 points and Bingley Grammar School, third with 67.
Bradford Grammar School won the Middle Schools Trophy with 196 points, Bradford Girls Grammar School were second with 123 and Bronte, third with 71.
Five swimmers won four events, Thomas Lonsdale (Bronte) in Year 8, Sarah Taylor (Skipton Girls GS) in Year 9, Gavin Moor (Queensbury) in Year 10, Elizabeth Fish (Whitcliffe Mount) and Adrian Lonsdale (Oakbank) in Year 11 events.
Two records came in individual events. Kate Ford (Bradford Girls GS) in the Year 7 girls backstroke in 34.46 seconds and Kirsty Richardson (Menston) in Year 5 girls backstroke in 20.29 sec.
The championships were also a personal triumph for Bradford Grammar School's Jonathan Brownlee who came first in three events of the Year 5, under-10s section of the championships, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.
Another BGS winner was Alexander Ferguson in the under-11s breaststroke event.
The school also won the Year 5 and 6 relays, freestyle and medley events and their teams were also placed second.
Gold medalists in the older age groups were Adam Brown in Year 7 who won gold in the backstroke, butterfly and freestyle events and Charles Godavitane in the Year 7 breaststroke.
They were also first and second in the freestyle and medley Year 7-8 team events.
