A SKIPTON animal lover is to sell her five-foot male iguana - to the relief of her husband and six-year-old daughter.
Sandra Floyd, of Simbach Close, is selling George, the house trained South American tree lizard, as she does not have time to look after him as well as her Pit Bull Terrier, snake and rabbit!
Husband Glen does not share her passion and will not touch the skin-shedding creature, and her daughter, Hayley, had a bad experience.
"When I brought him home he jumped on her knee when she was eating her tea. Baked beans and everything flew all over and Hayley screamed," she said.
Her sons, Danny, aged 11, and Sam, nine, play with George when he comes out of his heated tank, and know to leave him alone when he lashes out with his lethal tail.
Mrs Floyd wants £200 for her three-year-old vegetarian pet and has already advertised in the Herald. "They not very affectionate pets but they are easy to keep. I would recommend them for a family with older children and somebody who knows something about them," she said.
Anyone interested can contact her on 01756 797252.
