Yorkshire Bank is one of the names lined up to sponsor research into the experiences of women at the top of the corporate world.
Over 1,000 women are set to take part in the Women in Corporate Leadership study - the largest of its kind.
The project is being run by Opportunity Now, the Business in the Community campaign dedicated to promoting the business benefits women contribute to the workforce.
John Wright, chief executive of Yorkshire and Clydesdale Banks, said: "We have supported this initiative as I believe that no business can achieve its objectives without the right balance and mix of people, particularly women, in critical and senior roles in management.
"This study will help us to identify the key issues for advancement of women in the workplace and continues the bank's commitment to identify barriers for women, overcome them and increase the role of women in our business."
