Grattan League and Cup Round-up: Lexicon ended their Premier Division programme on a high note with 5-3 win at Woodend Rangers.
Andrew Stoott put them ahead after ten minutes and then restored their lead after Woodend had equalised. Nick Dagastino and Tony Quinn put Lexicon in command at 4-1 before Woodend pulled two goals back. Andrew Wilson then made sure of the points with Lexicon's fifth goal.
Hudsons beat Victoria 2-1 in a bottom-of-the-table clash despite being able to raise only ten players. They led 1-0 at half-time with a goal from Roger Barns and Tony Carroll scored a second after the break. Though Victoria pulled a goal back, Hudsons were too strong.
In Division One Bradford Moor lost their first match of the season, 1-0 at home to Bierley United.
Smiling Mule won 4-1 at Mailcoach while ten-man Gallopers lost 2-1 at home to Old Kings Head. They held the visitors to 0-0 in the first half, but Gavin Strachan put Kings Head 2-0 up before Peter Gallagher pulled a goal back for Gallopers.
Brook Hansen beat East Bowling 6-2. After Bowling took the lead Matthew Cook levelled the scores before half-time. Chris Wilkin gave Hansen the lead before Cook added his second goal to make the socre 3-1.
Hussain pulled a goal back for Bowling, but Cook completed his hat-trick and Robert Bedford scored twice as Hansen ran out easy winners.
In Division Two Cross Keys were made to work hard for their 6-4 win against a much improved Bradford Deaf side.
Andy Field scored a hat-trick for Cross Keys whose other scorers were Tony Rook, Craig Renolds and Clement Hans. On target for Bradford Deaf were Mark Healy (2), Paul Marlow and Ihjaz Hussain.
Bradford Deaf twice equalised in a fluctuating first half before Cross Keys took control after half-time.
U Save DIY beat Brannigans 5-4 after extra time in a thrilling Grattan Shield tie.
The match came to life after a goalless first half. Vincent Howard scored for U Save DIY, but Brannigans equalised five minutes from time to send the game into extra time.
Howard got his second goal and then Dave Mallet put U Save in command at 3-1 during the extra period, but Brannigans hit back to level the scores at 3-3.
Both sides missed chances, but Andy Stebbings restored U Save's lead. Brannigans then pushed forward again and U Save goalkeeper Trevor Fennel punched the ball into his own net to level the scores again before Stebbings scored the winner with the last kick of the game.
In the Second Division Cup, Baildon lost 2-1 in the quarter final second leg at home to Strachans, but go through to the semi-finals 8-4 on aggregate.
Damion Stainforth and Kevin Dunn scored for Strachans and Andy Weir for Baildon.
Eccleshill SSC take an 11-1 lead into the quarter final second leg against Smiling Mule B.
Daniel Firth and John Kilkenny scored hat-tricks. Other scorers were Andy Holmes (2), Lee Moorhouse, Darren Clark and Dave O'Nal.
