Keighley Albion crashed 41-22 at home to Dewsbury Moor in National Conference Division Two, though the scoreline did not do justice to their efforts.
The main difference between the sides was three breakaway tries from the visitors in the second half as Albion piled on the pressure.
Albion started brightly with an early penalty from Dean Brookes but Moor soon replied with a drop goal.
In-form veteran Ian Spencer came close for Albion - he crossed the line three times but was denied by defenders who turned him on his back.
Gary Boocock crashed over out wide to put Albion 6-1 ahead but as so often this season the Keighley team's errors were severely punished.
Two penalties led to Moor scoring twice. Then when Brookes failed to find touch with an Albion free kick, Moor hit back to score another try.
Albion did give themselves a chance when young player of the season Alistair Feather crashed over. Brookes converted to make it 25-12 at the break.
Led superbly by Simon Kelk and Gareth Greenbank, Albion refused to give in. They were given encouragement when after a sustained spell of pressure Ben Farrar went over out wide. Brookes landed the conversion to make it 25-18.
A breakaway try took the pressure off Moor but Albion came back again when Rob Bailey, their man of the match, finished a move out wide, Brookes converting to make it 31-22.
Brookes and Spencer were both held up over the line and Bailey went close a couple of times, but Moor scored two more tries to make sure of victory.
In Pennine League Division One Keighley Town continued their impressive run of form.
They beat table-topping Illingworth 18-10 and have now only lost one game since Christmas.
Town fell behind to an early penalty but hit back when Gary Marples finished off some fine approach play by Neil Kennedy and Darren Walton.
But Illingworth replied with a quick try to lead 6-4 at the break.
The match became a tough physical encounter but after the break the Town forwards gradually got on top with Brian Ingham playing superbly.
Kennedy was also playing well and for the next try he reversed roles with Marples to score a well-taken touchdown after the centre's fine break. Kennedy converted and the scores were level at 10-10.
Kennedy added a penalty and made certain of victory five minutes from time when he finished off some good work by Darren Lynham. He added the conversion to complete the scoring.
