Stuart McCall's time at Everton may not have been as successful as the previous few years at Goodison Park, but the Bantams skipper says he loved every minute.
He spent three seasons with the Merseyside outfit in between his first spell with City and his trophy-laden time at Glasgow Rangers.
In the 1980s Everton won two championships, the FA Cup and the European Cup Winners' Cup but by the time McCall arrived Everton's fortunes had dipped.
Nevertheless he enjoyed some memorable moments at Goodison with the 1989 FA Cup final undoubtedly a highlight - even though Liverpool beat Everton 3-2.
McCall came off the bench after an hour to replace Paul Bracewell and he did not waste his opportunity.
"Coming on then gave me a good-half hour but thankfully I scored late on to give me an extra 30 minutes. It was a great feeling.
"Ian Rush came on just after me and made it 2-1 but then within a minute I had scored again. It was really turning into a dream for me but then Rush made it 3-2. I was so disappointed at the time.
"I really enjoyed my time at Everton. I wasn't even looking to leave but Howard Kendall said I could go and talk to Glasgow Rangers.
"When a manager says that, you always think it is best to go. Walter Smith made it clear he wanted me to sign so I went."
