Keighley Town 18, Illingworth 10 - Keighley Town wiped out the memory of their drubbing at Illingworth earlier in the season with a superb victory at Marley.
Town soaked up a period of intense pressure after conceding an early penalty for holding down in the tackle before centre Gary Marples scored after some fine play between Darren Walton and Neil Kennedy.
A try either side of half time saw Illingworth open up a 10-point lead, but a powerful second half performance saw Town test a strong Illingworth defence. A great Marples run from within his own half set the platform for supporting scrum half Neil Kennedy to race clear and score beside the posts, leaving an easy conversion.
Town were unlucky not to go into the lead when Mark Fudge crossed only to be pulled back for a forward pass. The Keighley side took the lead with 15 minutes to go when Kennedy kicked a 35 yard penalty.
With five minutes left Kennedy executed a smart piece of interplay with skipper Daz Lynam to score under the posts and then add the extras to bring up a personal points tally of 14.
Town's Brian Ingham was voted man of the match for his powerful running and a fine defensive stint along with back row forward Darren Walton and centre Mark Fudge.
Tomorrow Town have a break from league action when they take on neighbours Silsden in the Tommy Holmes Cup at Marley, kick-off 2.30pm.
