THE final of the Aire/Wharfe Sulzer Roteq Services (UK) Cup will see Bradford Salem taking on Wharfedale. When the semi-finals were played on Monday night Salem beat Old Otliensians 10-8 and Wharfedale won 15-13 at Yarnbury. The results meant that there will be a new name on the trophy as neither club has been winners previously.
Bradford Salem were first out of the hat and the final will be at Salem on Monday, April 17, kick-off 6.45pm.
Both games were closely contested, Otliensian's missing two penalties in the closing minutes. Holders Yarnbury went out in a game that was in the balance up to the final whistle.
