Ageing temporary classrooms are to be destroyed after a school was given a £250,000 grant for building works.
The grant has been awarded to Hightown First and Nursery School in Liversedge so the three temporary buildings, bought second hand 25 years ago, can be replaced with an extension to the main school building. Headteacher Carolyn Prescott said: "It will be great to have everyone in the main school building."
The cash was part of a £5m grant to Kirklees Council from the Department for Education and Employment. Money will be spent at 21 schools in the district.
