Businesses in Otley have been thanked for their support of the town's citizens advice service.
The CAB launched a campaign to keep it open and many companies and organisations rallied around to raise more than £5,000.
At a special civic reception at Otley Civic Centre, the mayor Councillor John Eveleigh thanked all those who had donated money.
Edward Winpenny, a former president of the Rotary Club of Otley, said it was an important achievement.
He said: "Keeping a local CAB service is vital for the people of Otley who would find travel to Leeds or Bradford city centres very difficult."
Jean Nelson, manager of Otley CAB, said the service was also grateful for the continued support of Pool-in-Wharfedale parish council and Bramhope Parish Council, Otley Town Council and Leeds City Council.
"Without their support the very valuable service provided by the CAB would not be available in Otley for the people of the town and surrounding area.
"Much appreciated contributions are also made by clients, who give money they can ill afford, or boost the morale of the volunteer staff through their thankyou presents of flowers, chocolates or homemade cakes," she said.
She added it would be nice to think that the service provided by the CAB could be guaranteed for the future - but that would depend on further fundraising.
Anyone able to help with fundraising should contact Jean Nelson at Otley CAB, Courthouse Street.
