GUISELEY'S Jo Ellis helped secure the Home International title for the England Under- hockey team when she scored a vital goal against Scotland.
In the tournament at Milton Keynes England tied for first place with Ireland going into their last game against Scotland needing to win by two clear goals to share the title. England went a goal up and it was Jo who netted the second to assure them of a share of the title.
England defeated Wales 6-2 with Jo scoring one of the goals and they then drew 1-1 with Ireland before meeting Scotland in the final game. Jo plays for Ben Rhydding Hockey Club's ladies' first team and is rapidly improving her all round fitness under the direction of her fitness coach Craig Thornton.
