PHOENIX kept up their chase for the Premier Division title with a 3-1 victory over Golcar United.
The Keighley side are now on 50 points with Brighouse Town leading the chase on 48 points while Hemsworth have 46, but have a game in hand on Phoenix.
Goalkeeper Paul Linyard was on top form to keep the scoresheet blank in the opening period.
They came out with more conviction after the break with Mick Gilmartin volleying home from 20 yards. He turned provider, supplying the cross for Dale Hoyle to hammer home.
Golcar got back into the game when Phoenix appeals for offside were ignored by the referee, but Phoenix scored their third and best goal seconds from the end when Gilmartin found Hoyle who swept the ball home.
Phoenix were playing Campion last night (Wednesday) and are away at Marsden on Saturday. On Monday they are away at Littletown in the semi-final of the league cup when they take on Hemsworth Miners Welfare, kick-off 10.45am.
Silsden reached the Division Two Cup final with a 5-2 victory over Brighouse Town Reserves thanks to goals from Andy Holden (2), Martin Bland, Andy Geary and Steve Gray.
Keighley Shamrocks beat Steeton 2-1 in the league with goals from Nicky Gilbert and Gary Flynn, Alex Familio scored for Steeton.
Steeton Reserves went down 2-0 to Salt Old Boys in Division Four.
n Keighley Juniors beat Stanbury 5-0 in the semi final of the Keighley & District FA Cup. M Price opened the scoring with further strikes from M Bland, G Finn, M Price. Mostyn Hockey and Pete Storton were steady in defence.
Oxenhope Reserves reached the Supplementary Cup final with a 5-2 victory after Bronte Wanderers after extra time.
They were locked 2-2 at the end of normal time, but with Oxenhope playing a number of veterans the made their experience tell.
