Geoffrey Richmond has dismissed speculation linking Bradford City top scorer Dean Windass, pictured, with a switch to Premiership rivals Leicester City.

Reports had suggested that the former Oxford man was a £1.5 million target for Martin O'Neill with the Foxes set to make their move if the Bantams go down.

Windass, who has figured in every Premiership game this season, is leading the club's scoring charts with nine goals.

Responding to the reports, Richmond said: "If we remain in the Premier league Dean stays. And if we get relegated, he also stays."

Meanwhile, Paul Jewell has taken his squad away to a secret hideaway to help them focus on their crunch clash with Wimbledon this Sunday.

Victory over the Dons would take City out of the bottom three for the first time in four months.

Jewell said: "The game has attracted huge interest so we are taking the players away from it all for a few days. We want to be fully focused on the job in hand.

"We did it before the Wolves game and it worked then. It is a big game and important we win.

"Wimbledon will be a lot happier with a draw. I think a lot of nonsense has been written about them lately and I am sure they will come here with the Crazy gang spirit."

Wimbledon are now quoted at just 11-10 to be relegated from the Premiership by William Hill who make Sheffield Wednesday 1-8 for the drop with City priced at 2-7.
