Yorkshire Landscapes is a new exhibition at Cliffe Castle Museum showing more than 100 pictures from Bradford council's permanent collections.
They include watercolours by well-known local artist J Pighills and much-loved large oil paintings of familiar locations by Herbert Royle, RG Brundrit and Bertram Priestman.
Cliffe Castle has organised a special exhibition, demonstration and discovery trail to mark Museums and Galleries Month. The temporary exhibition, which runs May 13-June 4, displays items chosen from the museum stores by 28 local people. They were all representatives of local organisations ranging from scouts and Women's Institute groups to community centres and Model Engineering societies.
Artist Jake Attree will be at the museum on May 20 so visitors can see him create work inspired by the crystal and gem collections.
Turning Points in History will be a discovery trail on the Museums Month theme of "things which made a difference in the past 1,000 years".
