IT'S been a great Easter with the points just piling up -- although we left a bit late against the Hawkes on Good Friday.

It wasn't one of our best displays but a win is what counts, particularly with the top of the table becoming very congested. We're now up into fifth place, and only two points behind the leaders.

I thought Hunslet were really fired up for the game and played very well, but there seems to be no stopping that man Dean Hanger and his last minute try had everyone on their feet.

Some people have said we used out 'Get out of Jail' card to snatch that victory, but I think it proved who fit our squad is -- and how much they want to win.

The desire for success has never been greater and from a spectators point of view I bet it was more exciting that the 66-6 win, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric.

At this stage of the season it looks as if there are about 10 teams capable of making the play-offs and that shows how competitive the Northern Ford Premiership is this season. It is a great advert for rugby league.

THERE were some big efforts on the field in both the Easter games with Steve hall magnificent on Friday night -- he was my man of the match.

He was very unlucky to get sent off at York on Monday, I thought it was very harsh and he was only acting in self-defence. It was clear to me he had suffered an extreme amount of provocation when they packed down, and when somebody punches you what do you do?

Steve's not a dirty player and the team discipline this season has been superb. We are not a dirty team, we're big and tough but not dirty.

Steve will be up before an RFL disciplinary hearing on Wednesday and I will going along to defend what I think was a poor decision from the referee. I believe he should get' sending off sufficient' and I will be out to prove that.

WE travel to Chorley on Monday to face bottom club Lancashire Lynx - at 5pm - but nobody here is underestimating them after theynearly toppled Widnes recently. Every game now is tough as we strive to continue the run.

I gave the lads a dew days off after the Easter weekend. We trained last night and will be in tonight and Sunday -- no rest for the wicked and no trip to Murrayfield.
