The inquest into the death of a 24 year old Cross Roads man suspected to have died from the human form of mad cow disease is due to re-open in Bradford today.
Andrew Carter, a bright university student, died on February 13, just over five months after doctors had told his family it was "clinically provable" he was suffering from the new variant strain of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (nv-CJD). An inquest was opened and adjourned in February to allow for more investigations.
Andrew's father Ron, who is convinced he died from nv-CJD, said at the time of his son's death it was only a matter of time before undeniable links were found between BSE and CJD.
