Transport Police are calling on commuters to help catch flashers who have struck at stations on the Wharfedale line.

British Transport Police are asking for the help of rail travellers to trace men who exposed themselves to women in separate incidents at Ben Rhydding Railway Station, Burley-in-Wharfedale Station, and on a train travelling from Bradford to Ilkley.

PC John Phillips, of Leeds branch Transport Police, said he did not believe the men were a danger to anyone.

"The victims were not intimidated by this, but thought it should be reported because it is wrong," he said.

In the first incident on February 9, a man urinated in the shelter at Ben Rhydding Station, then exposed himself to a woman waiting for a train.

He was described as aged about 44, of a chubby build with a beer belly, and spoke with a local accent. He had short, light brown hair, which was thinning slightly on top, a rough complexion with slight stubble, and a wide nose.

He was wearing a dirty, dark grey fleece top with large zig-zag patterns, which was zipped up. He also wore white trainers, and had a grey wool hat in the back pocket of his tracksuit bottoms.

A man in his late 20s or early 30s flashed at a woman at the same station on March 22. He was described as being of broad build, with short, sandy hair, a round, fat face, clean shaven, wearing large baggy trousers with an elasticated waist, and a light coloured T-shirt.

A man wearing a maroon beret exposed himself to a woman on an evening train between Bradford and Ilkley. The man used a rucksack to cover himself up when other passengers walked past. He is described as white, aged between 35 and 40, around 5ft 5in tall, of average build with a local accent, and gentle voice. He was wearing a denim jacket and T-shirt, baggy elasticated white trousers, black trainers, and carrying a black rucksack.

In the fourth incident, on May 25, a man twice dropped his trousers at a lone woman standing on the opposite platform of Burley Station.

He was described as white, with an overall scruffy appearance, 5ft 11in to 6ft tall, of medium or flabby build with a beer belly, a round chubby face and blonde or ginger short hair. He was wearing grubby faded blue tracksuit bottoms, a light coloured T-shirt and trainers.
