Cougars: Club wants blood from the fans
COUGARS have launched a rugby league first by becoming the first club in the country to hold blood doning sessions at the ground.
Fans are being urged to give blood for their club in a big to boost the life-saving Blood Donors programme.
"We are the first club in rugby league to team up with the National Blood Service and we hope fans, and other members of the community will come down to the club to help save lives," said marketing manager Gary Murgatroyd.
Blood donor sessions will be held from 2.30 - 4pm and 5.00 - 7.30 on Tuesday, June 13.
"It is a training night so fans will be able to watch the players in action, and we might even get one or two to serveteam and biscuits after fans have given blood," Gary said.
