TO SAY that I was disappointed with Sunday's result would be a major understatement.

Doncaster are a good team with a vast amount of experience in their ranks, but we had them well beaten until half way through the second half. We then made four errors that gifted them four tries, it is very frustrating but it is not a situation you can coach against.

Matthew Elliot had a similar experience when Bradford let a 20-point lead slip against Warrington.

That apart, the overall performance was good, as the match statistics prove. Our tackling was outstanding with only six missed tackles in the whole game. to put it into perspective we could miss up to 20 tackles in a game and still be capable of winning. The only way teams have been able to unlock our defence is through kicks, and that is a weakness we have been working hard on all week.

TEAM news is a mixture of good and bad. I hope that Alan Boothroyd will be back this week and Richard Smith has resumed light training while we wait for the results of a scan on his hip.

Depending on the results of the scan Smithy could be back in the next couple of weeks.

Phil Stephenson has only one more match to serve before his ban is lifted and he will be available for the Sheffield game.

On the down side Graeme Hallas received a bad shoulder injury on Sunday and is very doubtful for this Sunday's game against Rochdale.

STEVE HALL has been having a series of injections on his groin injury and took the game to Doncaster despite the pain and discomfort.

WE ARE expecting a tough game against Rochdale on Sunday. they are certainly a better team than their league position suggests.

They play a very physical game and will look to knock us around and disrupt our game. However, our players can look after themselves and can tough it out with any team in the league.

THANK goodness 'Mad May' is over. With seven games in a month is was unlikely we would remain injury free -- and so it proved. Unfortunately we have been badly hit in the pack which restricted our options. Hopefully things will improve.
