Cowling Day Nursery has sailed through its recent inspection, getting top marks for its work with two to five-year-olds.
Ofsted inspectors visited the nursery last month and reported that the nursery shows no weaknesses in the way it aids children's development.
The report has delighted staff and parents at the premises, based in the old chapel on Gill Lane.
Owner and head nursery nurse Liz Tanswell said: "It's fantastic. I couldn't be more pleased, it's a real pat on the back for my staff."
The report reveals that children at the nursery are confident, well-mannered and caring towards each other.
