Keighley Cats Under-13's trounced all comers to win the club's Keighley Festival tournament.
The team have only been together since the start of the year but have gelled into one of the best under-13 teams in the country. On Sunday they were unstoppable, beating Pendle 24-6, Leyland 26-12, Bradford 30-6, Crofton 22-14 and finally Featherstone 40-0 to take the trophy with a 100 per cent record. Amy Wroot just edged out Katie Roberts and Katie Lightowler as Keighley's player of the tournament.
The Under-15 team also performed well, but did not win a game against strong opposition. But such was their improvement as the day progressed that in their final game they ran eventual runners-up Bradford very close before going down to a 10-18 defeat. The competition was won by Hull Dockers.
Stephanie Jones was the Under-15's player of the tournament.
