County Cricket is to throw open its doors later this month when fans can watch Yorkshire free of charge.
The gates of Headingley are to be thrown open on Sunday, June 25, for the Norwich Union Division One clash between Yorkshire Phoenix and Northamtonshire Steelbacks.
Every Norwich Union match will be free of charge over the weekend of June 24-25.
The scheme is backed by league sponsors Norwich Union and is designed to give the public an opportunity to see the stars of the First Class game and introduce them to the colour, drama and entertainment of the National Cricket League
"We hope families will have will take advantage of a free day out with thousands of people taking up the offer and new people being introduced to the game. Everyone stands to benefit, including the players, who always respond to the atmosphere generated by bigger crowds," said a Norwich Union spokesman.
