AUSTRALIAN Justin Ferguson showed the rest of the Keighley line-up how to bat, but could not save them from defeat by Gomersal.
Ferguson came to terms with a difficult wicket and took on the tight Gormersal bowling attack, but could not find team mates to stay with him long enough to build a substantial innings.
He dominated the Lawkholme innings scoring 95 while fellow opener Lee Gordon (11) and the extras on 15 were the only other double figure scores.
Keighley reached 149 and at times it looked as if the total could be enough.
Gomersal also found the going tough, but scraped to victory in the last over with their Australian, Abbey, undefeated on 51.
Keighley 2nd's slump in form continued with another heavy defeat at Gomersal.
After deciding to bat, Keighley lost wickets at frequent intervals with only Kamal (20) and Hussain (22) making any significant contributions.
Keighley were dismissed for 96 off only 29 overs. Gomersal had few problems cruising to victory with the loss of a single wicket off 20 overs.
Keighley face another tough match against Undercliffe at home where they will attempt to break the sequence of defeats and claim their first victory in over a month.
