CONCERN is growing after a flasher who targets schoolgirls struck twice on the same day.

Although the man, who has exposed himself to several Rawdon teenagers, has made no attempt to attack any of the girls, police say they

would like to catch him as soon as possible.

Det Insp Steve Payne of Weetwood Police said: "He has just exposed

himself to the girls, and has not made any attempt to attack them, but we would like to trace him as soon as we can."

Police are linking the man to several similar incidents over the past month. A man exposed himself to girls in Rawdon as they were walking to school on May 9, and struck again in Horsforth Hall Park on May 23.

The same man is believed to have again struck in Horsforth and Rawdon last Thursday.

The man walked towards a young woman as she walked along Brownberrie Lane, Horsforth, at 7.20am. He exposed himself to her, then walked past her without saying anything, and headed in the direction of Rawdon.

The same man is believed to have struck again on Town Street, Rawdon, just 15 minutes later. He ran past a 15-year-old Benton Park School pupil, then turned around and exposed himself to her. The girl went into K&A Storrs newsagents and called the police. The victim said: "I did not realise what he was doing at first. It was upsetting to be intimidated like that when I was going about my normal business."

The man seen on Brownberrie Lane was described as white, in his mid 30s, of medium build, 5ft 7in tall, with dark hair, wearing a fleece hat and blue tracksuit bottoms.

The Rawdon flasher was described as white, aged 30 to 40, 5ft 8in tall, of a medium build with a fat stomach, wearing a brown woollen hat, navy tracksuit bottoms, white trainers and dark-rimmed glasses.

Benton Park School's head teacher, Anne Clarke, said the school was

concerned, but the police were dealing with the matter. Anyone with information on the flasher is asked to contact Weetwood Police on 0113 2413459.
