KNARESBOROUGH eventually won through against Illingworth in their re-played seecond round Birtwhistle Cup tie.
When the sides first met they tied the game but on Sunday Knaresborough triumphed by a seven wicket margin.
Illingworth batted first and made 163-8 with number eight C Pell repairing the damage done by the frontline batsmen when he made an unbeaten 50. Illingworth had been 51-6. Pell and D Riley (27) helped take their side to 163-8 but Knaresborough held all the aces and although they lost an early wicket D Pickles (67 no) and G Dodds (63) shared a match winning second wicket stand of 131.
