THREE clubs have applied to join the Keighley Alliance League, which is changing its name as part of a bid to give Sunday soccer a boost in the district.
At the annual meeting members voted to include Aire Valley in the name of the league, which will be known as the Keighley & Aire Valley Sunday alliance League.
All last season's officers were re-elected with Allan Feather starting his 14th year as secretary. In his annual report he paid tribute to past officer and members of the league which had seen many glory seasons. Plans are also in hand to join the computer age by putting the details of fixtures on the internet.
The Albert Hotel team has folded, but three clubs are due to join.
