A Keighley woman is feeling sick after her treasured pet parrot was startled and flew away from home.
Mandy Bower, from Guardhouse Grove, is appealing for people to help her track down her beloved 10-month-old African Grey parrot.
The bird flew away from its home at 3pm on Sunday when it was startled and flew away. A gust of wind also caught the bird taking it higher into the air.
Says Mandy: "To me, I'm his mum, because I've had him since he was 10 weeks old. I can take him out into the garden on my shoulder because he is so tame. We've heard a few people say they have seen him at the top and bottom of Fell Lane but so far we've been unable to track him down."
The parrot is described as having dark grey wings, a light grey body, a bright red tail and a black beak. In flight it resembles a large pigeon.
