Good news for Bingley bargain hunters - the town's only charity shop, which shut in April, is to reopen. The first week in July should see the restart of business for the Spastic Shop in its old premises at 79, Main Street. The shop first opened in June last year and in the following ten months raised almost £3,000.

Ebenezer Youth Club won the Telegraph & Argus trophy, presented by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Alderman Alton Ward, at the fifth annual athletic rally of Bradford Youth organisations, at Horsfall Playing Fields. There were nearly 200 entrants from 11 clubs. Second and third were Green Lane and Thornton. Sedbergh (Bradford) B C secured the Boys' Organisation Cup.
