A Bradford boy was in a stable condition in hospital last night after being struck down by the potentially-fatal E-coli 0157 bug.
Health officials are warning more cases could appear in the next few days as family of initial victims become infected.
The boy was transferred from Airedale General Hospital, Steeton, to St James's in Leeds yesterday afternoon after being brought in yesterday morning.
Four other members of his family have also contracted the bug. An elderly relative was said to be comfortable at Airedale hospital while another has been discharged and two more have been checked over by staff.
A Calderdale child was still critically ill last night with liver failure after the outbreak which has been gathering pace since the first reported case on June 13.
A spokesman for Calderdale and Kirklees Health Authority said: "It could be that there are more cases, but we are not expecting a tremendous amount more.
"Any coming now would probably be from the same families as the people already infected."
A total of 15 people have contracted E-coli in the Bradford and Calderdale area, ten of them needing hospital attention.
Two more people are in Halifax General Hospital while the rest are at home after receiving medical attention.
Environmental health officers from Calderdale Council have so far unearthed just one common link, all the victims used the same milk round.
They have taken samples from the source of the products, a dairy in the area, but found no conclusive evidence.
Colleagues from Bradford Council are also monitoring the situation and are working with the latest people from the city to be struck down to try to find a cause.
A spokesman for Bradford Health Authority said: "The main problem is that with an incubation period of up to 21 days, by the time the symptoms show themselves it is very hard to trace the source.
"We have to ask the families to try to remember what they have eaten or any other possible ways they could have come into contact with the bug."
