Bradford Victoria Band played a two-hour concert in Lister Park last Saturday to a large crowd. All 500 programmes were distributed and a collection raised £32 for band funds. Mr. Norman Shaw, secretary, said: "We were very encouraged. We are going into the possibility of playing in the park again this summer and we certainly plan to do so next year."

Secret modifications to Bluebird II have now been completed and Donald Campbell will pilot the speedboat in his first high speed trial on Coniston Water immediately the lake is calm. The boat will probably be launched today and the engine tuned up for the first trial since its arrival five days ago. "If the trials are satisfactory it is more than likely I shall attempt the world water speed record," said Campbell last night.
