Bradford Bulls coach Matthew Elliott today ended speculation over his future by signing a new two-year deal as head coach of the Challenge Cup holders.
And the club are expecting his highly-rated assistant Brian Noble to follow suit in the next few days.
The news comes as the ambitious duo lead their side into battle with main Super League title rivals Wigan Warriors in front of an anticipated 20,000-plus gate at Odsal tonight.
Elliott said today: "All the nuts and bolts including the financial package were quickly agreed.
"I am delighted that things are settled. I would not be staying here if I wasn't happy.
"I had other options in Australia in the administrative field and such posts tend to be a bit more secure which is obviously a consideration when you have a family.
"But a lot of hard work has gone in by a lot of people at the club and it will be nice to see the job through.
"There are some very exciting times ahead with the squad we have built and the stadium re-development in the pipeline.
"Another big factor is that Brian Noble is also close to a new deal with the club."
Chairman Chris Caisley said: "It's great news and it enables us to plan for the future with great confidence.
"Matthew and Brian have both done fantastic jobs.
"In Matthew's case we always hoped he would be successful in the head coach's role, but to be honest you never really know for sure until they are in the job and you see how they react to pressure situations.
"I think he would be the first to agree he has made mistakes along the way but he has always learned from them.
"He has had a lot of success but there is not the slightest sign of arrogance. He is always looking to improve and seeking advice to make sure he keeps one step ahead.
"Brian Noble is Bradford Bulls through and through. His contribution has been very significant."
Elliott has added Paul Anderson and Nathan McAvoy to the squad for tonight's top-of-the table clash.
"The game at Wigan was very special and everything points to another high quality match tonight," said Elliott.
"Wigan are a lot like us in that they have strike players all over the park.
"They are also the second best defensive side in the competition.
"I have a lot of respect for their coach and players."
