More details have been revealed about controversial plans to re-site Otley's tourist information office in the town's library.
Martin Driver, from Leeds City Council's leisure services department, said the centre would offer the same services as others around the country, including an accommodation booking service and a limited holiday information service as well as selling a small range of local maps, walks, leaflets and guidebooks.
"There will be a full tourist information service during the opening hours of the library and within the library, in Boroughgate, there will be a map and literature display area, a window display and out-of-hours information for visitors when the library is closed," said Mr Driver.
A separate tourist information contact point will be included in the library for telephone, fax and personal enquiries.
There will also be a computer for e-mail enquiries and accessing the Internet.
