Laurence Hellawell continued his impressive form taking second place in the Skipton 10k race on Sunday.
He stormed home in a time of 32mins 28secs, just six seconds behind the winner Richard Allen, despite torrential rain.
Other Keighley & Craven club runners included Paul Wakefield was 27th on his first race back after injury in 37:15. Joanne Prowse was 54th overall and the club's first lady home in 49:42, just behind last year's time because of the conditions.
Debbie Spurr was K&C's second lady home taking the award for second lady vet over 35 in 40:57. Other finishers were: David Moxon (43:10), Peter Newsome (Vet 60) 45:00 recovering from a triathlon. Laurie Prowse produced his second best time (46:29).
Marathon runner Tony Walsh who recently joined the K&C club finished in 47:13. Stuart Weatherill (47:43) and Jeremy Sands (47:58) and Vera Ostojic improved her last year's time in 51:25.
n Next club championship event is the Abbey Eccup 10-mile run on Sunday July 17, part of the Three Day Challenge.
