OVER 200 schoolchildren will play out the Rugby League World Cup finals next week - in a bumper day of sport at Cougar Park.
A total of 16 schools are taking part in the competition which follows the same format as the RL World Cup due to be held later this year, and the competition mascot 'Bluke Tryscorer' will be making a guest appearance alongside Freddy Cougar.
Each team will represent a county playing in the real World Cup and pupils have been using the competition to study geography and other subjects as well as sport.
The schools are:

Group 2: Holycroft (Wales), Glusburn (New Zealand), Haworth (Lebabon), Malham/Burnsall (Cooke Islands).

Group 4: St Mary's Riddlesden (New Zealand Maoris), Guardhouse (Western Samoa), St Annes (Ireland), Nessfield (Scotland).
