Bradford City have devised rules to try to make sure that home-section tickets for five high-profile matches go only to their own fans.

The matches are against Manchester United, Leeds Uni-ted, Manchester City, Newcas-tle United and Sunderland.

People wanting to buy tickets to see Leeds or the two Manchester clubs must also purchase seats for two matches of their choice other than these five.

In the case of Newcastle and Sunderland, they must buy one other ticket from the remaining 14 fixtures.

The move has been made to try to deter supporters from these five clubs coming to Valley Parade to buy tickets for the parts of Valley Parade reserved for City supporters.

Chairman Geoffrey Rich-mond said: "Last season we found that certain clubs, in particular Leeds United and Manchester United but also Newcastle and Sunderland, had vast away support.

"A Bradford City supporter will have no problem in committing himself to two other matches or one other match in the case of Newcastle and Sunderland."

City have decided that after next Friday they will not accept any more applications for season tickets - they have sold 12,000 so far, compared with 15,000 last season.

Richmond said: "From 9am the following day - Saturday, August 5 - tickets for all 19 Premiership matches will go on general sale."

Tickets for City's first match of the Premiership season at Liverpool on Saturday, August 19 go on sale on Monday from 9am.

The 3,013 tickets will be available initially to season ticket holders on production of voucher No 21. From Monday, August 14 they will go on general sale.

Prices at Anfield are £23 for adults and £11.50 concessions.
