Michael Withers' last two tries were the most memorable of his career as he helped sink the old enemy Leeds in the Challenge Cup final at Murrayfield.
But while they will stay with him forever the talented Aussie reckons it's time to get that scoring feeling again after three months of frustration.
"I've been stuck on 12 tries for far too long," said last season's Bulls player-of-the-year who made a second comeback attempt at Halifax last Sunday.
"I got through the 80 minutes which was the best thing for me and although I have felt a bit sore I'm hoping I can get through to the end of the season now.
"It's been so frustrating and it was such a relief to get out there again. The break hasn't fully healed yet but I will have to battle through the pain a bit and then have the injury reas-sessed."
It wasn't the happiest of returns for Withers with the Bulls having to settle for a point in a 20-20 draw at The Shay but he believes the side's current form will only be a temporary blip.
"We saw last season what can happen when you are the best side at this stage of the season. It doesn't follow that you are going to win the Grand Final.
"Having said that, we know we need to start heading in the right direction again and we had a good talk earlier this week about what is required and I expect that to be reflected in tonight's performance.
"And I reckon top spot is still a realistic target. We don't have to play Saints but they do have to take on Leeds and Wigan, as do we, so a lot can change between now and the end of the season."
Withers took the chance to return Down Under for a two-week rest cure but says he is now fully focused on the job in hand.
"I was sat around at Odsal moping and Matthew got sick of me and thought it would be better if I went back home. It was a complete rest and I enjoyed some time with family and friends. I did do some gym work but not too much!
"I went back to my old club to see them play Parramatta and enjoyed it but I have really missed playing and now I just want to get a good run in the team.
"I think I have had enough time sat on the sidelines for one season. It's the first big injury of my career and I hope it's the last."
