Thornton are riding high at the top of the table with a five point advantage over second placed Clayton and nine points ahead of Harden.
Martin Beattie bowled nine consecutive maiden overs, in his first nine overs as the Haworth Road batsmen struggled to come to terms with his accuracy. Opener Tony Dobson played a patient innings to score 87 and Beattie collected three wickets as the visitors were restricted to 151-6.
Tom Richardson scored 59 in just over an hour, teaming up with Andy Bailey (30no)to see them to victory.
Oxenhope secured a seven wicket victory over third placed Jer Lane with Tony Ousey picking up five wickets as the home side were dismissed for 160.
Opener D Hopkinson top scored scored 77 in the reply and was backed up by Yates (29) in an opening partnership of 74.
In Division Two Riddlesden slumped to their second successive defeat after being let down by a poor batting performance. At one stage they were four wickets down for just 12 runs and the only resistance came from Taylor (20), Brett (34) and Hawkes (36 not out), with the rest failing to reach double figures. Their total of 117 was never going to be enough, but promising young bowler I Haider showed what could have been a tidy spell, taking two wickets for 12 runs in his four overs.
Harden 2nds also secured victory with Haworth Road being dismissed for 90 with Chris Wintersgill taking three wickets. Peter Shaw top scored with 20 runs as Harden made certain of a five wicket win.
Oxenhope 2nds slipped to a four-wicket defeat by Jer Lane despite a knock of 85 by Keith Binns as they reached a total of 192-8. Lane secured victory with six wickets down.
