A woman was punched and kicked by two other women trying to snatch her handbag on a Keighley street.
The 48-year-old woman was walking down Mornington Street at 10.15 on Friday evening when a young woman approached her.
Accompanied by another woman, she asked if the victim could change a £1 coin.
When she said she could not one of the suspects grabbed her hair and pulled her to the ground.
The pair punched and kicked the woman, attempting to grab her bag.
But the victim managed to hold on to her bag until another person witnessed the incident and shouted at the attackers.
The pair then ran off empty-handed. They are described as white females, in their 20s, one of slightly larger build than the other.
One had blonde hair worn in a ponytail and the other wore a grey top.
"This is an unusual incident as the suspects are both women," says Sgt Gee.
