A trust which has given thousands of pounds to local youth organisations is inviting bids in a new round of grants.

The Shipley-based Holycroft Charitable Trust is keen to hear from any groups, working with young people, which require funds.

The trust was set up after the old Holycroft Youth Club disbanded in 1992, with substantial amounts of money lying in investments.

It was agreed that interest should be used to benefit other local youth organisations.

Applicants should write - outlining the work of their group and how it would benefit from a grant - to JR Tullie, secretary of the Holycroft Charitable Trust, at 151 Avondale Road, Shipley. The deadline for applications is September 16.
