Six designs have been chosen to bring a splash of colour to a Bradford police station dubbed the "fortress" by locals.
The eye-catching logos will be displayed on giant sails decorating an outside wall at Toller Lane police headquarters, Lawcroft House.
The winning designs will be unveiled at a special open day next month and remain on display for the next five years.
Police chiefs launched the competition as part of a project to make the station more user-friendly. The multi-million pound building is on a sloping road and architects included the huge wall to shore up the foundations.
But it's imposing structure and angular features earned the station the nickname "Fortress Lawcroft".
Individuals, community organisations, schools, nurseries and playgroups, were asked to come up with a design which reflected life in the area.
Toller Lane community safety officer, Inspector Brian Langford, said he was impressed by the standard of entries.
"There were some very creative, innovative and vibrant pieces of work and it is really nice to see so much talent within the community," he said.
"What's more impressive is the willingness of people to involve themselves in community issues and try to make a difference."
One of the winners, 15-year-old Tong School pupil Naila Raqib, said she wanted to show Bradford's different cultures.
"The design shows that Bradford is not just an ordinary city, but is interesting and has many cultures. I feel very proud to have won and look forward to seeing the sails go up outside the police station.
"I think they are a good idea. They will show people the police are friendly and do care about the community."
A new multi-lingual greeting sign in 16 languages has already been put on display outside the station to welcome visitors. The sails will be unveiled by Kulvinder Ghia of the BBC's Goodness Gracious Me comedy sketch show.
The open day on September 10 is a chance for people to tour the station, including the cells. Bradford's Lord Mayor Councillor Stanley King will also be there to present each competition winner with a £250 cash prize. The competition winners in the four age groups were: Green Lane Nursery (0-5 yrs); Kiran Yasin of Atlas Primary School (5-11yrs); Naila Raqib of Tong School (12-16yrs); Joanne Holmes (16+). Other winners were 16-year-old Sukhjinder Ghuman of Nab Wood Grammar School and 18-year-old Belle Vue Girls' School pupil Kulwinder Ghuman.
